Little tricks that make every painting easier, faster and prettier – whether it’s your first or your fiftieth.

Prepare your workspace
Use a clean, flat surface with plenty of light – you’ll see the symbols clearly and place diamonds faster.

Work in small sections
Peel back only a small part of the film at a time. The rest stays protected and the glue stays fresh.

Use the tray
Pour a few diamonds into the tray and shake gently so they face up – much easier to pick up.

Pick the right pen tip
Use a wide tip for big areas of one color and the fine tip for small details.

Take breaks
Step away now and then. You’ll stay relaxed and make fewer mistakes.

Use just a little wax
If diamonds won’t stick, add a bit more wax. Too much wax makes picking up harder.

Store your diamonds well
Keep colors in resealable bags or a storage box and label them – no spills, no searching.

Press diamonds down firmly
When a section is done, press gently with your hand or a roller for an even, lasting finish.

Use a light pad
A light pad under the canvas makes small or dark symbols much easier to see.

Frame your masterpiece
Seal and frame your finished painting to protect it and enjoy it for years.
